As far as I understood the series 5XX is still best for Octane because the 6XX isn't optimized. At the moment the GPU industry around Nvidia is a bit strange.

I used multiscatter.
It is not supported directly.
I had to generate more than 40k objects in my scene and have extremely slow viewport.

can't wait to try it out
OK now what is the best way to set up grass, sharing some scenes would be quite beneficial now, give us a test scene

Here's a bug from before, if you already have octane assigned as the render, and choose a render preset that has an octane preset - every preset in render window is shown twice.. I had the render settings opened at the time - this happened on the previous version as well.. - it fixes itself if you close and open the render settings again

Unfortunatelly I don't have any good sample sceen with grass. I will prepare some thing.

Usefull material for windows glass based on glossy material and falloff textrue.
It allow to pass light even with diret light kernel or sun light.

I would like to switch between 2.8 and 3.0 without uninstall both.

я не интегрировн пока-что. но есть один неприятный момент! полезная функция конвертер материалов. он видимо работает только для интеграциии! пару раз пытался сконвертировать. все нормально . но стоило зайти в мат эдитор ..3д мах просто вылетал! мне хотелось посмотреть настройки шейдеров вирей в октан ! для пополнения онлайн библиотеки. интеграцию прикуплю в скоре , хотя в максе работать не охота

You can install another 3dsmax. If you have 64x, you can install 32x
