it's more a SCNR thing
realflow is cool. hard to get by, but a very powerful tool...
but it's already time that it goes gpgpu also, i mean this vid

I had a temporary copy of Real Flow once. Damn buggy and the manual was awful. Couldn't understand how to get it to work. Sad, because what can come out of it is amazing. Just seems like there has to be a more user-friendly way to do the same thing. And trying to export a mesh from one of the frames was impossible because it could only be exported out in their own proprietary format which was .bin as I recall. What do I do with THAT?!
The video is amazing. One of the things that amazes me about it is that it looks like SSS is going on there, which is traditionally a show stopper in terms of performance. And the video is in real-time. We're almost at the point where we can create a totally emersive 3D reality with real-time clouds, breezes through plants and water surface motion.
