EXCELLENT!!! I just got a gtx570 "used like new" and I cant wait to pair it up to my previous gtx460 and use both with octane inside max! :D
I have the standalone demo, just waiting for the bundle to pull the trigger!

Why don't you release this plugin while you continue working on the webshop ?
This mode allow money flowing immediatly, and impatient users (like me :mrgreen: ) will be happy.

fortunately we will spend our holidays testing this plugin catching the bugs...but I trust in the good programmers work.

Unfortunately the webpage thing is going to hold this up for an undetermined amount of time. I thought this had all been done when the servers went offline on Monday? Can't we just deposit the money through paypal direct to the refractive account and stop all this endless hanging about for this thing?

Come on Guys, let's give the refractive team a break. They've committed themselves to get the plugin ready before xmas, which apparently is done and with add-ons (vray material converter, etc) and now we only need to be able to spend some money on it. I'm as impatient as everybody else to put my hands on the plugin, but the good things take time when done properly :)

NZ is 12h ahead of GMT so lets wait to see if tonight (tomorrow in NZ) is the night :)

I'm delighted with what they're doing and appreciate their good efforts. Octane is, no doubt, among the most exciting renderers and we are all keen to get it into a workflow that is more typical of current production renderers.

I imagine Refractive are working incredibly hard and miffed by the thorny feedback. My only issue is with the piecemeal updates and public information management. Nothing else. Announcing Octane as an integrated Max renderer was bound to get attention and create expectations (aka: hype) - missing dates is understandable but the hype starts to generate irritation as people's expectations get dashed. Not getting some clear idea of where things stand fuels that irritation - for me personally at least.

I know Octane is amazing. It's also currently too unwieldy to use (for me) as a production renderer - I have purchased Vray, Maxwell and Arion. Personally, none really tick all boxes for one reason or another. Octane offers very pleasing results visually and suffers from only two issues that hold it back from revolutionising production renderers from where I sit: Workflow and Motion Blur. One of those is on the road to being solved I hope.

Would just love to get my hands on it or get a definitive date so I can stop checking in all the time.
