Hey Newtek actually got back to me about the vertex normal bug in Layout. So I'm hoping they will fix it, then the export process will be super quick.
Radiance wants every plugin to have the exact same interface, layout names of buttons etc.

I'm afraid of newtek reactivity ( i followed the crappy-buggy development of the lw10/10.1) and if we have to wait a new version of lightwave, the new exporter will not be ready for 2015 ( optimistic ;) ).
Anyway thanx for following this and i hope it will happen quickly .

[quote=Radiance wants every plugin to have the exact same interface, layout names of buttons etc.[/quote]

when i said 'simplier', i just meant to avoid the system of preparing for modeler etc you proposed us before...
The 'old' interface is ok for me ( with enhancment like control cam aperture over time and tracking objects for depth of field, it would be nice...)

Hi Holocube,

But, can you export vertex map from modeler like you do with smooth via layout?

Because I don't see newtek fixing lightwave soon.

And for me, the most important thing is to use octane now, waiting a better solution...
