Bump mapping broken ?

Hi,

the bump mapping seems very weird, I thought maybe I was missing something, but it just doesn't seem to behave like you would expect. Normalmaps seem to work just fine, but bump maps never give me that high frequency, small detail look I'm going for. I usually end up using displacement, with is very pretty but also expensive. Any ideas on this ?

Thank you !

Hmm, I'm not sure if it could be broken. I've not seen other reports about a problem like that, so I suppose that it is working fine. Is this something new related to Octane 2020.1 or do you get the same behavior in all the Octane versions?

Can you please share a scene to reproduce this problem here?

Thanks,

Okay, my bad haha, I made a simple scene to try and recreate the problem, everything works as normal.. Checked the scene with the weird behaviour, turns out I was working without dof but closing and opening the ipr reenabled the dof, subtle, but enough the blur the details out... Sorry about that , thanks Juanjo
