My systems thermals are nice and even (holding at no more than 70 degrees on both cards .. and all round system temperatures are stable.

Not sure what you mean by 'studio driver' .. what is that?

NVidea is shipping two types of drivers. If you download from the nvidea site you can choose the download type. There are 'Game-Ready Driver (GRD)' and 'Studio Driver (SD)'.

Maybe it helps someone ...

For me the most stable driver regarding Octane is 417.22. I really tested them all. Usually out o core rendering doesnt work stable. But with this older driver everything runs fine.

Yes I agree the 417.22 driver did seem the most stale. I believe I still had DAZ crashing on me even on that driver too .. but it seemed less often.

I still can't tell what is being sold by OTOY. I just can't. I see rental.. purchase for an arm and a leg... and annual versions containing something that I don't know what.

What is going on!?! If I pay more money what on earth will I get? I simply have no idea.

Is there a product description any more? Like... Anything? I mean... If I have 4 is there a point to subscribing? (Not that I have any clue what is being sold here.)

You can check the Octane 2019 thread Release Notes to see the differences between the Octane 4 version of the plugin and the Octane 2019.1 version. https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=72450. If you are only rendering with 1 GPU and not using Network Rendering, the new Free Tier may suit your needs.

I have posted an Octane 2020.1 build of the plugin at https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=73445

Can Metallicity, Glossy Roughness. Glossy Color, and Dual Lobe Specularity be added to the templating?
I will look to see if this is possible in the next release.

Thanks
