Does the new Enterprise Annual Subscription include an additional network slave license and/or octane standalone command line license?
What about the Enterprise Box License does that include an additional network/command line license?

thankyou

Not for 2020 and later - the net slaves are 7.99 / month (annual BF discount) for those that want them too.

Anyone figured out how to use the black-friday discount when you already have AA? It just kicks me to a page which says there are no applicable licenses.

fine-print reads: Maintenance extensions require upgrading from an existing active, non-expired maintenance plan or Enterprise All Access pass. and I'm definitely on a non-expired maintenance plan/All access "pass" whatever that means. so this should've been accounted for? :)

I do get RTX speed when I'm doing a full new scene from scratch in the Standalone 2020.
But when I import an ORBX, it's at the same speed and sometimes even slower. Is this known ?

I import ORBX from 2019.1.4 (C4D) -> 2020

one of our pcs has 5 cards with rt cores 2080tis and the other 5 without titans. i hope this will not cause crashes during rendering using RTX

Realtime Raytrace with RTX - we will not be seeing this.
The only thing that comes close is Unreal Engine, because it uses a 'slight of hand', where it combines Raster + Raytrace.
So that's not even real raytrace when you think about it.

The reason why RTX seems so meager with Octane may not be because how RTX is implemented. Rather, it may be that Octane is already so powerful in its own right, that RTX just can't really do all that much to better it, other than in certain situations. Which, I guess is a good thing in a weird way...
The only thing, though, is it kind of deflates the idea of RTX being this super-light saber feature that cuts through scenes like butter.

Hi,

For those of you not finding the expected results after enabling RTX please check this is not your case:

  • Driver version should be at least 435.80 for Windows or 435.12 for Linux. This is when OptiX support was introduced by Nvidia in their drivers, so anything below this will result in RTX being disabled and getting the same results.
  • Just simple triangles are supported via RTX acceleration in this version. This means that other geometry types such as particles, hair and triangles with rounded edges (those using the fast rounded edges shader) are still being rendered the usual way. If your scene is heavy in these you may not see a noticeable improvement. More primitive types will be added in future releases.
  • RTX does not accelerate all scenes equally. Those scenes with heavier ray tracing loads will benefit the most while those with very heavy shading should still see some improvements but not as large.

If this is not your case we would appreciate if you could please share a test scene via PM so we can take a look at it.

Please keep in mind this is an experimental build and we appreciate all feedback we can get from you.

Thank you.

EDIT: Geometry using rounded edges shader in fast mode will be fully supporting RTX acceleration since the next release.

Thanks to Otoy team for point and curves attributes and for a good hair shader, this is great to see that you listen to us and it check 2 must have features in my list.
Have you solve the motion blur issues with displacement or is it still a work in progress ?

Cheers

Using RTX On. AI light seems to be broken, on interior scenes if I tick AI light, it becomes disabled, and if I untick it it becomes enabled. On the other hand on an exterior scene AI light does not seem to work at all, lights are not clearing up as fast as v4, it works fine with RTX Off though.
