Enabling and disabling side panels in 3d view make interactive render to restart. They also scale 3d view down or up. Compared to official Blender builds the panels go over the render view and don't scale or restart 3d view.

When creating Texture Environment Output nodes has Cycles inputs and Cycles Background node. Changing to Octane does nothing.
Adding new Output node ore deleting World and creating new creates proper nodes.

Texture environment has toggles for Visible Environment . They are doing nothing when this Texture in plugged into Octane environment.

There is unused space in kernel settings, In 17.x/18.x it was filled with light settings.

Hello J.C,

Thanks so much for organizing and reporting these issues.

1. In Object data tab, in Viewport Display panel there is Shadow option that does nothing in viewport.
2. Enabling and disabling side panels in 3d view make interactive render to restart. They also scale 3d view down or up. Compared to official Blender builds the panels go over the render view and don't scale or restart 3d view.
3. When creating Texture Environment Output nodes has Cycles inputs and Cycles Background node. Changing to Octane does nothing.
Adding new Output node ore deleting World and creating new creates proper nodes.
4. Texture environment has toggles for Visible Environment . They are doing nothing when this Texture in plugged into Octane environment.
5. Search list in Object material nodes has Cycles Inputs like Ambient Occlusion, Bevel etc...
6. Cycles nodes also appear Environment and material panels:
7. There is unused space in kernel settings, In 17.x/18.x it was filled with light settings.

1. The Shadow option is provided by the official build and it should affect the viewport solid shading. It doesn't seem to work in my tests with the official version. We will check it further in the coming 2.81 and decide whether to remove it when Octane is used. The shadow cast option for octane is in "Object Data - Octane Settings - Shadow Visibility".
2. It seems fine in my tests - show/hide side panels don't restart the viewport rendering both in Octane and Cycles. Scaling the viewport size will change the resolution settings so it will restart the rendering - both in Octane and Cycles.
3. Octane doesn't work with Cycles' environment settings so the only solution might be recreating one in Octane.
4, 5, 6 - These will be fixed in the coming build.
7. We plan to reorganize the kernel ui in the coming build - at least hide the unused options to make it clear. Hopefully, it will be ready in the next build too.

Cheers,

Hi, thanks for the reply DrawFun!

Regarding the issues:
2. This happens on 20.3 on Windows build. On OSX is fine. Check the attached file, please.
3. What I meant is that Cycles nodes are visible while they are not usable with Octane. They should be hidden to avoid confusion for users who don't know Octane so well.
