OctaneRender 2019.1 LightWave upcoming releases note

Hi,

Just a quick note to apologize for the delay in the release of the 2019.1 RC1/2 LightWave plugin builds. I've been working on the refactoring of the LightWave plugin nodes building core code to make the plugin support and development easier and faster, and this work is taking longer than planned. If all works fine, the 2019.1 RC LightWave plugin will be available before the end of the month. After this refactoring, updating the plugin in the future for versions including new nodes, like this 2019.1 release (that has a lot of them), should be a lot faster.

Thanks for your patience,
-Juanjo

Thanks Juanjo.

I was not using LW2019.1 just because Octane was not working properly.

Thanks for the update.

I'm working on a project but I'm having some difficulty.

I want to render an image seen from above the space.

But without me removing the cover I want to see everything in there.

Something similar to Clipping map. But in a prespective view

The idea is for me to preserve the external light by penetrating through the windows.

If I hide the coverage the sunlight green effect

How do I do this in Octane?

I'm talking about the Octane 2019.1 plugin builds, not the LightWave 2019.1 release. All the current plugins for LightWave 2019.0 should work fine in LightWave 2019.1 ... there are no changes in the SDK affecting the Octane plugin. Why do you say that Octane doesn't work properly on LightWave 2019.1?

Thanks,
-Juanjo

You could make the ceiling as an individual object and enable the "unseen by camera".

Thanks,

On my computer Octane was responding badly in the Node editor window. the update of the properties of the nodes were not immediate, so I select the node of the Octane.

Thank you very much Juanjo.

I did not even think about it.

I always thought this did not work with Octane.

And it works beautifully.

Hi Juanjo,

I have just downloaded and installed LW 2019.1 and Octane render 4.0.4 for LW.
So far, I have just noticed a huge slow down while Octane is reading objects before rendering… Is that a "normal" behaviour ?
