Specular Refraction Issue

Hello everyone.

I have weird issue that I cant seem to figure out a solution to. I trying to create a product to scale in C4D and it's quite small. For some reason because of the size I'm working in, the refraction from my sepecular material is off and distorted. Only work around I've found is to change the scene scale in project settings, but it doesn't seem right/efficient to create in centimeters and switch to meters when i want to preview. The specular material is supposed to be thin, almost balloon-like , but I have thickness on my specular material so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Would really appreciate if anyone has any idea on what could be wrong or if it's just the nature of working so small. I've attached the project below. I'm working in V4.04

Thanks
