License failure

I was using LW and Octane quite happily this morning. Suddenly this afternoon Octane flags a license warning saying that it could not find the required license! I have Octane on only one machine and this problem occurred even after a restart. Please see attached image.

Separate issue. Earlier I was getting one-sided polys rendering both sides. I'm using LW2015.3 with Octane 4. 00.0.21 on Win 10. An older version of Octane was rendering backfaces of single-sided polys as clear, a feature that I find excellent for cutaway images.

Have you finally been able to fix your licensing issue? Perhaps there was a problem with the servers or with your internet connection.

About your second question, the Octane polygons are always double sided as far as I know, but there is a shader node to configure the material in both sides. Not sure if this is what you are looking for ...

Thanks,

Hi Juanjgon,

Still not working. The standalone is showing 'Active on computer' 'Does not have all access'. Internet connection fine.

Please can you you point me to the node you referred to - I'll try it when my system is running again.

Thanks

If you continue with these problems, please send an email to the support team to let them check your license status. [email protected]

The node I'm talking about is this:

Yes, talking to support now.

Thanks for the link. I guess that I just dial the opacity of one surface channel down to 0?

Yes, I suppose that if you set the opacity to 0 o the other side you could get what you are looking for.

Thanks,
