So... Maybe I'm doing a dumb here, but AI Denoiser no longer working with PMC Kernel? Doesn't matter how I set it up. Since RC6, DeNoiser is ignored when using PMC. Still works on DL and PT though. Is this be design? Are you punishing those few of us that love the PMC Kernel? "Oh you like your renders to take unnecessarily long? Very well, love your extra noise you thought you were going to be able to filter out 30 hours ago when you started this render. Plebe..."

Thank you for help

It looks like you don't have an all access subscription for 2018.1 onwards. If you think that's incorrect, please get in touch with our support team.

Will our Standalone licenses become subscriptions? What the hell is going on here?

It depends on what kind of license you have. Please get in touch with our support team because I don't have access to the licensing system.

I read in FB and according to Jules U. PMC was not trainned (yet) for denoiser. It may be in future. You should make it a request in the "Feature Request" or vote for.

Still, when I look inside the volumetric spotlight (Spectron?), it disappears. I wrote about this from the first 2018 RC1.
So this volumetric spotlight is useless when my camera flies through the light.

Spectron lights are still WIP (there will be ongoing features added through the next two release cycles). 2019.1 out next will be adding more lights as well as fully customization inner volume shading which wasn't possible in 2018.1.

How does this work? How can I launch it? Where can i download it? Is there any documentation about this?

It is provided as a separate additional subscription licence right now, which works fine with V4 (2018.1 isn't updated yet). For 2019.x we are making a proper slave-only licence that you will get in AA your bundle as if it were an extra plug-in.

If you have bought Octane 4 (i.e you have a perpetual licence) and want to use the latest versions beyond V4, there is a yearly $199 Enterprise AA maintenance fee (per machine) that uses your V4 existing licences with the latest versions (i.e. Octane 2019), including plug-ins, standalone/slaves for that machine. If you don't re-up, then your V4 licences will still be able to activate V4 builds, but not the newer releases.

In the old days when major releases were years apart, we charged $79 for upgrading standalone + one plug-in -and kept raising the price by the same for new purchases. We made V4 free (at our expense) because we didn't want to keep making Octane more expensive with each upgrade . Now with at least 3 major version upgrades a year, the annual payment approach is the best way to for us to support the product at this pace and keep costs reasonable for new and recurring users alike.

Thanks for relase guys.

I have few questions :

It's recommended to upgrade drivers to 419.xx ("Important: we recommend that you upgrade your NVIDIA driver to version 419.17 or newer. There has been some critical fixes in this newer version. ")

My questions:
1. What happens to Octane 3.08.5 if i upgrade to that driver to 419.17 ? (currently i use older 417.35 and my V 4.x and 3.08.5 work fine and i'm just testing 2018.1 betas which also starts but not used it much due many bugs/problems)
2. Is 2018.1 network rendering working? (i have 3 v4 licenses) Is network daemon install problem solved ?
3. ARE you really won't allow users to go to perpetual licenses of octane 2018.1 , 2019.x.... ?? Didn't you say you will reconsider that on later date and allow us to have perpetual upgrade plan also?

Currently i've payed for my All-Acess in November 2018 and until January 2019 Octane 2018.1 All-Acess was not available and up to few days ago 2018.1 was heavy beta so it was not really recommended to be used in production (betas newer are ;)) so i "wasted" 4 months of my All-Access period of not being able to use 2018.1 in production and yet my 365 days of that RENTAL (it's not subscription it's pure rental) are counting down so if i start using 2018.1 in production as of today i still got "tricked" for 120 days (4 months * 30 days) in that as you call it All-Acess subscription.

Shouldn't AA countdown start counting since STABLE 2018.1 release and not early beta days ?

Please allow us Perpetual upgrade plan or at least "Rent to Own" option as many other companies.

Thanks
