Gradient texture how?

Hello!
Can someone explain me how can I get a gradient color from one to another value on just a plane geo? In standalone version. I know how to do it in C4D with C4d shader but in standalone version I don't have C4D shader.....

This use UV projection,
but if for some reason your plane doesn't have any UV then change in the SAW WAVE node the projection type to "XYZ to UVW".

I wrote an osl Shader to emulate the C4D gradient. You can find in c4d plugin package.
