Redspec SSS queries

Hi,

I've recently (just yesterday) tried and bought OcDS. I saw some of the renders being done with Redspec. Some are amazing and some are on-par with Iray shaders. So I've got some of questions before I buy this.

1. Does it work with every character or at least most?
2. I've seen that the skin shader got a winter update last winter. Is the product normally updated esp. for compatibility?
3. Regarding the hair shader, does it work with OOT's hairblending hairs? It was a pain in the butt making OOT hairblending work for Octane.

hey mhyrria,

sorry for the huge delay in response.
Regarding your questions:

1.) RedSpec SSS does work on every character mentioned on the specific shader store sub-page.
2.) We're trying to update the product regarding compatibility (for example when a new figure generation is released etc.)
3.) Hairblending by OOT is not working in Octane natively. This is caused by the OctaneRender for DAZ Studio plug-in not being able to target the textures nodes, used by OOT for his alpha-channels blending-maps.
This is, however, not a limitation by our shader, but by the plug-in itself.
Should the plug-in fix this, we'll offer support for this feature.

Hope this replay helps (if although it was given very late - sorry again)

Let me know, should you have any further questions.

Best regards and Happy Rendering
