Rendering Solo object

Don't know exactly where to ask this question but I need help to save time in my render. Is it possible to just render a soloed object so I don't have to render the rest of the scene and render the background with alpha? I know I can turn off the dots in the side of the object that would prevent the render of all the other objects in the scene but I have to do it for every object and that affects the lighting in the object I want to render.

Soloing the object isolates the object I want to render and doesn't affect the lighting which is what I want, but when I render it keeps rendering the entire scene which doesn't save me time. I know about the render buffer where I put the ID tags but that seems to render the entire scene as well. I hope this makes sense, any help from the experts here would be appreciated.

You can do this by following these steps

1. Select Mesh Object in unity.
2. Go to PBR Instance Properties in the inspector
3. Set Render Layer ID to 2

4. Select to the active rendertarget
5. Go to "Render layer" in the rendertarget settings
6. Enable, and set Active Layer ID to 2

*Setting mode to "hide from camera" seems to be the fastest
