Busy with a deadline at the moment - so will write a longer response later.

But for now - my problem, which may be all down to me not understanding how the changes work, is this:

I prefer to work using the Octane render window interactively and not always rendering to saved files - so I have my scene ready, Render Elements are picked from the tab in the Render Setup window, I 'Open OctaneRender viewport', let the scene render, I then save the image and all of the passes save as separate images as well - brilliant - just what I want.

With 6.12 the passes do NOT save out - so I assume I'm being forced to use this new way of right clicking on a long scrolling list (madness) - hopefully I'm just making a simple mistake.
