My Dream Office

My wife and I have always had a romantic attachment to industrial spaces, what with raw brick, exposed beams, concrete and the like. We dream of one day converting an industrial space into a warm and lived in home. Who knows!
Over the last few days I've been setting up shots to render of my dream office (with dream computer included.)

Software: Cinema 4D
Renderer: OR 4
Models: Mostly CGAxis but a few custom, from scratch. I'm still working on that aspect of CG design.

Overall, that's a wonderful render, but that poured epoxy bar-top finish on the floor is a bit distracting in an otherwise very convincing image.

Ah, I think you really nailed down for me what was so off about that floor. epoxy bar-top... something was bugging both my wife and I about it. I'll have another go at the material and see if I can't take it down a notch. Originally, I had bare wood with no finish, but then I thought about that office chair going over that would be a nightmare. I'll have to find a compromise. Thank you for the feedback!

Took another stab at the floor. Scaled it down a little bit and tried to model the same diffuse gloss coating on the floor in my dining room. Better?

Looks coolQ
The floor could use a normal/bump map for irregularities
