Problems with exported data

Hello,

I am using a sketchup / octane combination for my work for 8 years now. I was very glad when a plugin for sketchup was launched. Then I realised I could not use it. Even though I bought the plugin I can only use it to export my sketchup files to standalone. That's all I do with it. All would be good if even that worked decently. But it doesn't.I have big files and i get export times of several hours.During the export I get a lot of -cannot export texture- errors and the resulted exported file has a lot of textures missing and migrated materials from some objects to others. The problem happens with materials without any texture. No color adjustment made on textures goes thru.My sketchup file contains several types of glass that in the exported orbx are merged into one.I've spent endless hours trying to cleanup and export my sketchup files to octane.I'm fed up.I cannot work like this. I am sending you my current sketchup file and exported orbx. I am expecting a solution both for the current situation and for this not to happen. All I finally need from this plugin is to export everythig from sketchup to octane as quickly as possible and accurately and to be able to sync any changes made in sketchup with the set up scene in octane. I see lumion has a very good way of doing this.I've put the files on we transfer (couldn't upload them here. Here's the link.

This is the worst support i have ever seen.
Nobody even bothered to look at the files.

lenreed,

If you ever hear back from Otoy, please let us know.

I think they should abandon the failed plugin and focus on a rock solid exporter for sketchup.

Standalone is great, but the workflow to get there is too slow.

The fact that we do not have one yet (or do not know about it because of horrible documentation) is crazy.

I agree with you. A good exporter and sync would be good.A good importer in standalone even better (like lumion)
But still I am really angry - I paid for nothing ... an eternal alpha of something I don't need.
The only reason I paid for it was the ability to export faster.
But now I lost the flexibility that came with the obj/mtl files (reimporting the obj in standalone keeping all the materials already set)
By the way for anyone interested I troubleshooted the problem my self.
For some reason the plugin was unable to create the temporary folder for the textures (shitty windows permissions)
I did that manually.
Shame on the support/development team.
