Hi,

I can't go into detail regarding the new system,
but if you want to change hardware, deactivate your license,
do your work, and at least one hour after deactivation, reactivate.

super simple.
should your machine crash or your hard drive fry,
use the customer area button to deactivate the octanelive account. (we're working on the customer area button)
then reacttivate the license on the repaired or new machine.

Hi,
My OctaneLive ID# and Password are generated at my Costumer Area.
But when I try to login using them, return a message of wrong log/pass...
Will this be my new log/pass or just for the software?
I was trying with Mozzila, then IE8 and Chrome... - same.
What I need to do to download 2.3? Where's it?
Feeling dumb...

@pedrojafet : The OctaneLive account and password are just for the pre23 authorisation. You keep your forum username and password for the forum & user area.

@areafilm: It is a totally different system of authorisation. You don't need to ask for authorisation code but you use the login/password displayed in the customer area (log in to http://www.refractivesoftware.com/ and click on OctaneLiveAccount')

I just downloaded pre2-3_4 but haven't used it yet. But I can login just fine.
I read what octane live is all about, but to be sure I thought I'd just ask.

Can I use your or anyone's GPU to render and leave my own for display only as long as I stay connected to the internet?

No, Octanelive is a content delivery platform, eg you can share materials, share your license between your 2 machines, like at work/home, and keep all your settings and materials/nodes handy ;)

Radiance has mentioned before that to use other people's GPUs wouldn't be a good idea for security reasons or something or other.
