Negative Offset Displacement?

Okay, working on converting a texture from V4 to Octane on a robot character. In Poser it has a displacement map where black is unaffected, and white is the offset. However, it does the displacement in the negative direction, like 'cutting out' of the character. I tried changing the height of the displacement to negative, even though it shows it as a float value, but it always resets to 0. How do I achieve a negative displacement like this?

Change the "Mid Level" pin to get a negative offset displacement.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The mid level has a range of 0 to 1 in the positive. As mentioned, the displacement maps are currently set up as white is "inset" and black as unaffected. What value should it be set at?

You will need to test this - but my recollection is that if you set the mid-level to 0.5, then mid grey (ie. 127/127/127) in the displacement map will not be displaced (since that is the mid-level) and anything darker in the displacement map will be shrunk, and anything lighter in the displacement map will be lifted/enlarged.
