Hair gradient interpolation type just affects to how the W texture is mapped to hair strides. However, I am not too sure what you mean by making it work both. You could potentially use a mix texture with a noise as one of the inputs, and a gradient on the one. While the gradient is affected by the setting you select, the mapping of the other input remains unaffected.

Hello, dear OTOY Team.

So I have a few problems with Ornatrix and Octane =)

1. I cant render gradient hair by strand index in Octane and Ornatrix.

Here is my material and render.

And here is the scene to your tests --- >>> SCENE

This an example with Vray and the same gradient =)

As you can see - An each strand have red or blue color. How I can realize this in Octane???

2. I can't render a normal map in Octane + Ornatrix.

Here is an example with Vray Normal Pass.

When I selected Geometric Normal - I see this...

3. I can't render tangent normal in Octane + Ornatrix.

When I selected Tangent Normal - I see this =)

I used 3dsmax and Ornatrix. And have this bugs with Ornatrix + Octane... Btw you have wrong tangent normal =)) I showed the right example in Vray... You can open my 3dsmax + Ornatrix+Octane scene which I attached to the early message with this bugs =)

Then there's no point, because I work in 3dsmax + Ornatrix + Octane and want fix of this bug =)) Because I can't work and record my tutorials with Octane and should use Vray for this =))
