i buy the software since yesterday, and now it doen't work. My account can not log in . i have no idea , anyone could help me?

It depends on your hardware and what type of renders you need to complete. I have both and I tend to do the most of my rendering in Arnold. On my machine Octane is decently fast but Arnold can be just as fast...it all depends. Arnold is a bit expensive for building a farm but I get by with my single license. I don't do huge complicated scenes though. I do mostly simulation work. Another thing keeping me in Arnold is that it is just easier for me to use and I love how integrated it is with C4d.

I too moved my process to Octane a while back. Have CV-VR came out earlier I might have stayed with “vanilla” C4D, but by the time I learned of it, I have invested enough time and hardware into Octane to not even consider moving back.
I wrote this review mainly for the benefit of people who haven’t migrated away from core Cinema 4D experience, either by choice or lack of resources. Octane is great – but it’s a costly move if you already have your infrastructure set for CPU renderers.
