Network rendering and local host

I'm noticing that if I have the network rendering on, the local host's GPU is not being utilised unless I toggle a network rendering slave also on in the local machine and enable it also for the task. I'm picking this up by looking at GPU utilisation with the iStats Menu GPU monitor. Is this to be expected? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

The local GPUs should be always available if they are enabled in the plugin options panel. Do you say that with the network rendering enabled, your local GPUs are not used?

Thanks,

My bad… The issue was not that localhost was not being utilised, the issue is just that the scene loading is a big proportion of the render time in my scene (still, after multithreading it, and pre-caching the dynamics solver's output etc that I thought would be a major contributor to the per-frame speed) and therefore I was looking at the iStats Menu at the wrong time when trying to find activity on the local machine.
