Important notice: All artwork submitted on our public gallery forums gallery forums may or may not be used by OTOY for publication on our website gallery.

Any images already published on the gallery will be removed if the original author asks us to do so.

I am combining two VDB volumes and it looks like the smaller VDB bounding box region is showing through.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Yeah same step values... I attached the packaged file to see if that helps pinpoint it.
I am guessing because the original VDB's are of different scale ... bu that is an uneducated guess : > )

Hi Peter,
here is my attempt:
the two vdb files are differnt, one has the temperature grid while the other not.
I have changed the scale values to match the max values, I have also reduced the step leght at 0.4 and now the overlapping cube seems gone:
