HDR lighting in ORC ?

Hi,
i'm currently testing ORC to see if i can use it seamlessly in production .
And after some tests i can notice that " Hdr lighting" don't react like in Octane Pluggin/standalone.

Here is an example scene HDR lighted only (ORC not render the same):

Octane C4D pluggin
Image

Octane Standalone
Image

Octane ORC
Image

and here same scene lighted by Aera Lights Only ( 3 results are identical):

Octane C4D pluggin
Image

Octane Standalone
Image

Octane ORC
Image

What i'm doing wrong ?

thanks in advance

PS/ same behaviour with Hdr in "linear mode", camera/BufferType

hi,
it's a long time that I don't use HDR Light Studio, but if I remember well, you should be able to bake the composed HDR in a normal single file.
In the last c4dOctane version, an .orbx file is saved and you can open it firstly with Standalone before sending it to ORC.

Hi pxlntwrk,

Could you please describe your flow of sending this scene to the Cloud?

Thanks,
Vladimir

Hi,
and thanks for answering,

@beppe: its not HDRI Light Studio , its simply an HDR file in in the env tag.
@FuzzyBro: my flow:
>working with c4d pluggin
>exporting to standalone by export animated .orbx
>checking my scene in standalone (everything is right there)
>uploading scene by standalone
>opening ORC by standalone
>checking the setup in ORC
>rendering in ORC

et voila

and the 2 scene are uploaded in my ORC

Image

PXL_Render_Bal_Test_ORC_Spots (aera lights)

PXL_RB_ORC_Test_01 (HDR env.)

and heres a link to my .orbx (hdr scene) file

thanks

Cedric

Hi Cedric,

What version of Octane is being used with Cinema4D and what version of Octane Standalone? We need that info to run some tests.
Could you also try using the web upload (go to orc.otoy.com/scenes and upload the ORBX file directly)?

Thanks,
Vladimir
