We are working right now on a completely new mode which will likely be slower but way more robust, and which should give you similar results as the one you show.

this is what it looks like for me, cad export, points are welded by the exporting cad application.

no need to merge them they are welded by cad export... it's one solid peice. This screenshot however is with "merge points" on, in object properties...

This is an obsolete thread as a new version has been released:

You may want to try with that first and let us know if this keeps occurring, attaching a sample project to reproduce the issue please.

@lapaev,

why do you use the "merge point" option ?
Close vertex are merged with this otpion but you don't want this if surfaces are already welded by the Cad application ...

Please, report any issues in the thread related to the version you are testing.

What i gather is that brand new round edges coming soon? with legacy kept as an option?
