This is a maintenance update providing various bug fixes that have accumulated over the last months.
Changes since version 2.24.2:
- Added camera motion blur to the panoramic camera.
- Hopefully improved the handling of scenes with many material/texture/geometry nodes (>100,000).
- Changed the text colour of the window title of the non-native file chooser to white to make it more readable (black on dark gray isn't that great...).
- Hopefully improved the machine detection on OSX for authentication to cover more corner cases.
- Fixed crash when a node graph with a disconnected input pin (from an input node) is ungrouped.
- Fixed a crash when you render a material or texture with an empty input linker connected to the projection pin.
- Fixed missing shadows if render layers are enabled and "visibility only" is ticked.
- Fixed bug that incorrectly switches render threads of render slaves to the incorrect asynchronous tone map type which causes network rendering to not finish (see viewtopic.php?p=261498#p261498 ).
- Fixed a bug where switching between texture/material items with preview enabled wasn't updating the preview.
- Fixed missing update of node inspector when the switch to a node type requiring a file selection (i.e. RGB image) is cancelled.
- Fixed bug that sometimes frames are missing at the end of animations in Alembic files.
- Fixed a bug that was causing that when saving from an OCS-based project to an ORBX package, its assets would be redirected to the ones embedded in the destination package.
- Added
octane.node.configureEmptyPins()
to the Lua API. - Added
octane.gui.browseForAsset()
to the Lua API. - Fixed
octane.node.PROPS_NODE_INFO.isOutputLinker
which was set to a wrong value.
