Hey,
just for confirmation. I need to unpack and convert Alembic files to polygon meshes right?
Straight abc rendering is not possible (yet)?
Thanks

What program generated the alembic file?
I import .abc files generated from blender in standalone.

you should be able to just drag and drop the .abc file into your node inspector or go to geometry>import scene to bring it in.

Yes, currently you need to convert the alembic file to polygons to render it in the Octane plugin. Let me think if it is possible render the alembic objects from the files without convert them.

Yes, you can render alembic objects or any other kind of packed objects without unpacking them.

Thanks,
