strange sunrise and sunset with daylight

it's just me or when you set around sunset and sunrise time the light jumps in the opposite direction?

I'd like to post a demo obj I have made for this but seems I cannot upload obj or ocs..
so here are the images I have made to show the problem.
This currently means the impossibility to make sun studies for me.
as you see the first two images and the last two are made with few minutes of difference. the third is just mid day for reference...

this is a known issue to be repaired in beta 2.3, it's been reported quite a few times ;)

I also find the sun direction in Octane is completely different to that setup in Max or Sketchup. ie. 9AM in Melbourne, Australia (GMT+10) is different to the consistent results I get in Max/Sketchup.
