That was my primary idea - why don't we have node setup?
3090, Titan, Quadro, Xeon Scalable Supermicro, 768GB RAM; Sketchup Pro, Classical Architecture.
Custom alloy powder coated laser cut cases, Autodesk metal-sheet 3D modelling.

Lightwave also has nodale control for textures and settings.
I think that implementing the nodes in a program that already use is simpler than programming completely the interface

Hey all,

Yeah, as being pointed out, it's a lot of work. SU doesn't have no node editor.. moreover, Sketchup has no UI tools at all so every single UI element has to be built from scratch which is generally very bad and enormously slows down development cycle.

I would rather focus on stability and performance for now and save node editor for later, maybe after first production release.
