HDRI - crash

Hi

Are we supposed to use HDRI images as environment?

Sketchup crashes if I add a HDRI file in the environment texture :-/

I can add a JPG file without SU crashing.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello mate, that is strange, no crash here.
I can load environment Hdr and Jpeg images with no problem.

Try in StandAlone to see if it crashes too.

cheers

Hello again mate, that is strange, i have tested in SUv8, and 2014. It work perfectly with both Jpegs and Hdr, in the Gif you can see me using both of them, and i have done with several files to try to break it. Never crashed. send the file t Fuzzy so he can take a look. How big is the Hdr?

Hope we can find the problem.

cheers

Hi all,

If you are using large HDR files SU can crash due to lack of free memory. Keep in mind that SU is a 32-bit software and is very limited on RAM.
Hope Trimble will come up with x64 version soon.

Cheers
