Hi Paul,

I have a problem getting the new plugin to work with MODO 801 SP1. I got the following error:

Code: Select all
Started logging on 13.06.14 18:24:18

OctaneRender version 2.00.0009 beta (2000009)

CUDA error 999 on device -1: An unknown internal error occurred.
-> Failed to initialise CUDA driver API

All is working fine in 701 SP5 and Octane standalone 2.0.10

I have a problem getting the new plugin to work with MODO 801 SP1. I got the following error:That is showing you are running the plugin built against Octane 2.0.9. Can you pls try the 2.0.10 version at the top of this thread? Also, pls make sure you don't have Modo running when you update the plugin.

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Same with the new plugin 2.0.10.16 and Octane 2.10...I deleted the plugin folder and my MODO 801 config. MODO was off while I installed the new plugin...

Code: Select all
Started logging on 14.06.14 11:15:20

OctaneRender version 2.00 (2000010)

CUDA error 999 on device -1: An unknown internal error occurred.
-> Failed to initialise CUDA driver API

701 SP5 and Octane standalone 2.10 are working still fine...

René - are Modo701 and Modo801 installed on the same PC? If so, they are both using the same installation of the plugin, so I am baffled how 801 could give an error whereas 701 does not.

Yes they're running on the same PC side by side. That's why I am baffled too...

Hi Paul,

I figured out the problem. I had installed a trial version of the new Power Translators plugin. After deinstallation of the Power Translators Plugin the Octane for MODO plugin is running fine again...It seems the plugins are interfering...kind of.

Great work! The only thing I've come across so far is that animating the Focal Depth for the camera in Octane Settings doesn't render out to an animated sequence, it just stays with what is set for the first keyframe. I noticed that I had to turn on "Load all frames into Octane" to get it to render out an animated camera move, and I couldn't remember if that was true before. But that still didn't fix the focal depth issue, even though you could see it changing when scrubbing the timeline. I even checked "Reload Materials Each Frame" hoping it would force it to recalculate but it didn't.

GTX 780 / Plugin version 2_0_10_16

Thanks!
