Perhaps because people use the old forum UI style?
IIRC polls didnt work properly before so @radiance disabled them. :?

We need to fix this. Polls are very important I think.

Characters with hair and fur. Very important for animation.

They are all cool features.

But mostly I really miss region render.
You can never check everything before starting the final resolution render.
And often there are some sort of errors in some area.
Having to re-render the whole image again is really not optimal.
Its really a basic feature. Having implemented this we can talk about render elements
and hair and fur ;)

You architecture and furniture guys offten forget, that this is not the only usage of 3D.
I finished an animation project this year where the main characters were 4 bears. I did it with Octane cause the deadline was tight and guess what.. no fur on bears.. only textue. :(
Please stop looking Octane as something only for archivis.
Another big showstopper for doing animations is missing multi UV channel support. This makes it impossible to do all kind of effects. But again.. probably not that popular among archivis crowd.

I can't see results (i'm using new UI, not old).
I suppose that region render is needed for everyone (archiviz, animation, design, character etc).
Hairs - good - for characters and grass :) very useful - but for me more important is UV Mapping (CUBE, sphere, cylidner and other)
Third feature for me - rounded edges to safe geometry (count of poligons). It's helpful for product designs.
Greetings

Render Passes are a MUST, if we want to use it in production! Best, xoio

Guys, Juanjo was able to add Region Render to LW plug with no problems... you should bug your plug devs to add it. Surely it can be done in other apps...

Seekerfinder, you want Hair for grass?.. haven't you tried doing instanced grass? Better than the real thing, when done right.
