plugin only support on/off effect now via tags. You should try material opacity or mix materials.

The opacity can be animated in Octane? Wow, didn't see that.
What do you mean with the mix materials, animate a FloatTexture to blend between material A and B, something like that?

yes everything can be animated.
With mix material you can use a unvisible material and others and floattexture can do transation

I am having trouble installing and launching. I am sure i am making a stupid mistake somewhere.
Here are two images that show where I installed and the error i get when I launch C4D.

Help would be much appreciated!

Same issue here with R15, :( on Windows 7.


But we are not supporting R15. To work or not is real chance. Sdk is completely changed and transition can be hazardous now. i cannot debug on R15 at the moment

How can I setup Deep Channel > Material Id to render in Picture Viewer ?


Currently in render settings I got selected Kernel > Info Kernel
after that Cinema renders Geometric normals not Material ID

Had a minor issue with 081 in R14 with huge file - without geometry update . After working a while, the cinema editor view stopped showing anything. Not reproducable. Changed back to 080 for a while to get this part of work ready.

Knowing that, therefore it is working really good in R15 :)

can you try without any plugin and remove videopost tags like global illumination, hair render, etc...


I remove all Plugin and i remove all videopost.

This uploaded Scene still crasht C4D. :cry:
