As far As I have it*.POC files are only readable by the plugin, as the sss node structure is Octane spesific through the plugin itself. To be quite honest, I cant say that Ive ever seen DAZ being able to render real sss without the likes of Lux or Octane or any external rendering software. My brother works with daz and renders in Blender, and with his I7 2600 he renders pretty fast with Blender's internal render, not to mention cycles. http://redanta.deviantart.com/art/Viki- ... 74907&qo=8 http://redanta.deviantart.com/art/Viki- ... 74907&qo=9 he has some tipe of blender plugin for daz, Ill see if i cand find out what it is. I stil prefer Octane and Poser, Know how they work. :)

Hi Witpapier, thanks for the quick response. :)

I'm using Daz w/ Octane plugin and just didn't know what to do with the poc files just wasn't sure if they were specific to the poser plugin. Just figuring out all this as I go. Getting SSS on skin is a bit of a trick for me. Thanks again for the help.

@Slash Here is the node structure I use for the sss maybe it could give you some insight into how the nodes should be.

POC files are Poser plugin only. At some point in the future it is likely that all the plugins will be able to share materials, but unfortunately not at this time.

I've probably posted this before - but check http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=30193 for additional skin SSS hints. I think Witpapier's approach works even better (using specular rather than diffuse for sss) because there is an small issue with diffuse sss which is fixed in 1.12. So from 1.12 hopefully diffuse SSS will give just as good results as specular SSS.
