Forgive me if this has been answered some on the forum I did have a quick look and couldn't quite work it out as I am new to the forum

I'm trying to achieve metallic colours on the nose ring. I understand that you can change the materials within octane how can I achieve this so the nose ring? Is a metallic silver or a metallic purple

Hi Chopper

Select the nose ring material in the Material Tab of the plugin, then right click and go to the "Live DB". Then Materials -> Non-Organic -> Metal and mouseover the metal names to get a preview, then double-click to select. Metal-Generic-Rough or Platinum, Silver or Titanium would be good starting points.

Quick question I see that you can import materials is this 3-D studio Max compatible . What sort of materials can you import

I'm not so sure they are 3ds compatible. The Live DB is a database hosted by Otoy, where you can post your materials, or download materials that others have posted.
