Hi everyone,

The OctaneRender team is very proud to announce yet another integrated plug-in that is being
developed for Maxon Cinema 4D by aoktar. Cinema 4D users will soon be able to experience
the incredible speed and quality of OctaneRender in their viewport, providing a unique workflow
with an instantaneous photoreal preview while editing cameras, lights, materials and objects in the scene.

This is already the eigth plugin product of a series of fully integrated plugin solutions embedding
the OctaneRender™ GPU-based rendering engine directly into major 3d modelling applications (and
more will be announced soon).

yes... that is what we need!

all these nodes look nice in the standalone but you have to learn a complete
new workflow and to constantly switch between main app and octane.
to work with a real plugin is much easier.

hi, very interesting, thanks for sharing :)
but the more i think on this and the more i have doubt about this kind of integration
i would sincerely prefer an integration more like vray and maxwell, with dedicated custom materials not related to the standards ones, but perfectly compatible with the standalone ones for import/export to livedb for example.
the standard cinema materials are not compatible with an unbiased render engine; what we can do with diffusion, environment, fog channels and so on? and what about specuar and reflaction channels? if the specular channel correspond to the roughness it's a bit confused for me
wouldn't be much better to have a material node graph editor inside cinema maybe connected with xpresso for rich interaction between cinema and octane?

Hi everyone,

it will have all octane shaders and textrures, also other ways. As you see native materials can be use directly, if you convert or put a octance shader you can use.
main concept is speed, quality and easy usage.

thanks
