Mixed Displacement in Mix Mat?

Hey,

since the mix material has its own slot for displacement, I'm wondering how to set up the same blend between the displacements of the two materials.
What am I doing wrong?

I tried a small shadernetwork with Octane- and Cinema-Noises, last of them are working in e.g. diffuse pin:

But connecting them to the displacement slot of the mix mat, nothing happens, while every shader for its own works on displacement pin.

Is it working and I'm doing something wrong or is it impossible right now to use more than one displacement maps this way? If, is there a workaround?
Thanks for any advice.

The shader:

Displacement just supports imagetextures as internally, see this image

Yesss, thanksalot!

I know you told it once or twice but didn't find it anymore. It would be a nice theme for your FAQ thread :)

Btw: I love the Node Editor very much and you did a bunch of improvements as I saw, but it freezes Cinema from time to time :( Mostly with updating materials wich could make single nodes disapear as well. And it is always making focus on Object Manager wich is *** if the Material Manager is in same tabs getting coverd from OM. But nevertheless, I like it much, great thing!

Edit: So different amounts, shifts and LODs aren't allowed in Mix Materials? I try to mix more than two so every displacement map has to be driven by different greyscale tones for the amounts, right?
Same for Transform and Projection?

is it still freezing? which version?

2.23.1 RC4. Is it better in 2.23.2? I do massive usage of the Node Editor but I'm in a project right now so don*t want to change to 2.23.2 if not necessary.

Another one: I changed an Octane Noise to a C4D Noise as input of an Gradient. Every time coming back to the gradient, the C4D noise is gone and took place by an empty image node. Deleting the image node will delete the noise as well.

i see. I think it's a problem on gradient texture. I'll look for it.

Last one for this evening (hope so): displacement in layer is working on the small testscene above but not with my main scene. There the layer mask is a C4D gradient like in scene above but rest are image nodes. I'll try it again and reload scene to see if some nodes gone lost like this moment.

I think crashes is not related with node graph. Rendering of c4d shaders, it's not stable for multi-core. You should use one core for complex shaders like layers.
