Hi guys,

first i want to make sure that i'm working on a Macpro5,1 with Yosemite 10.10.1 with a GTX 970.
I just updated the Cuda to "6.5.36" and the NVIDIA Webdriver to "343.02.01f01".

When i try to create an Octane material or any other octane related object, cinema it self freezes completely.
Without doing anything, just opening the Octane log after starting Cinema i get this report:

CUDA error 300 on device 0: The device kernel source was invalid.
-> failed to bind device to current thread
device 0: failed to initialize resources
Can't Read Preset File: /Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R16/plugins/Octane-for-C4D-2.16.1-Macosxpresets.dat

Any ideas what could cause this problem?

there may be a problem with this cuda driver. Can you downgrade a older version?

It seems you are right!
I already updated it via the CUDA Preferences but obviously downloading and installing it manually from the NVIDIA site did it!

Just installed CUDA .37-driver and this works. I'm on a mac too with gtx980.
