In fact I have a TRX 2080ti Ram 64g 3600mhz And a ryzen 9 3950x as a processor.
I am using C4D R19 and I just installed the Octane plugin for this version of Cinema. When I press the Octane button for rendering in the live viewer, the message "There is no CUDA device selected" appears although I have installed the latest CUDA Toolkit (10.1) and have selected the graphics card (RTX 2080ti) in the octane preferences. Do you have any idea how to resolve this error?

Hi,
3.07 is a very old version, no more supported by recent Nvidia driver, currently we are at v8 stable 2020.1.5-R4.
You need to install at least v4.05-R7, or greater, to be able to work with recent Nvidia drivers.

Hi,
to work with latest versions based on 2020.2 SDK, you also need to upgrade the cuDNN library,.
Please download and install 2020.2 Standalone.

You can find it by visiting your personal Downloads area:
https://render.otoy.com/account/download_archive.php

At first start, you will be asked to press the Download button, to automatically install a new cuDNN library to run it correctly:

HI there!

thanks a lot for your help! I think I made a mistake while installing the plugin the first time ... the C4D App was open while I installed the cuDNN...
now I reinstalled everything, but there is a new problem:
the Octane plugin is still installed and shows the same Problem, eventhough I reinstalled C4D and deleted the plugin folder.

any idea?

solved the problem by using the older octane version 2020.1.5 r4 - maybe the newest version doesnt support my Card (QuadroK4000) anymore?

Hi,
2020.1.5 and 2020.2 have different cuDNN libraries.
Have you installed Standalone 2020.2?

Hi flinxmon,
you have installed a very old 3.0x version, no more supported by recent Nvidia drivers.
Please upgrade c4doctane to v4.05-R7 or greater, or it cannot work.
You also need to upgrade C4D R19 to R19.053, or plugin cannot be loaded, please go to c4d menu Help/Check for updates.

Had this problem a couple of times, somehow Nvidia made one of my cards not eligible for cuda performance.
I solved it in the Nvidia Control Panel (accessed by right click in the desktop):
