Displacement on C4D is causing constant bouts of freezing Tweet

I am using octane to use and create terrains and I've never had cinema 4d freeze more often. I'm rather frustrated as I have a decent enough set up not to have these issues, an amd ryzen 3900x and an nvidia rtx 2080. But Octane continues to lock up when dealing with simple texture displacement for terrain I'm working on - it's insanely frustrating.

have you installed Standalone (not the zipped version)?
it changes some Windows registry optimized for GPU rendering.

any kind of Standalone installer is good for changing the TdrDelay.
