Hey everyone,
I'm brand new to cinema 4d and octane and I decided to jump right into a tuorial for beginners because I learn best that way. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOuyifGdonA&t=3s . Anyways I did everything this guy said except for a few tweaks in color and arrangement to have fun with it but all the settings and options etc I did the same. I attached my render, which took 2 seconds, and his render which took like 5 minutes. Why does mine look like crap? Please help!
Dane

Hi Danecorydesign,
since you have chosen a video tutorial not based on c4doctane directly, my suggestion is to follow it only for the geometry part. Then have a look at the basic video tutorials about the c4doctane v2/v3 workflow, to better understand how light and materials are working inside with Octane:
https://docs.otoy.com/Portal/Videos_Cinema4D.htm
Then you should be able to finalize the tutorial in c4doctane too.
ciao beppe
