Displacement

I know that I'm not the only person having problems with the displacement in Octane. For the most part, its actually great.

There are a couple issues I'm having with it though:

1: I would love if it accepted different projection types.

2: I REALLY want Otoy to fix the problem with it tearing polygons apart from each other and creating holes in the model. I know there are ways to fix this partially, but it leaves the model looking less than ideal.

Anyone else have thoughts or agree with me here?

Hi Inky,
did you see the new baking texture feature in v3.07?
It opens a lot of possibilities with displacement:

About tearing and holes, please have a look at this other post, is about c4d, but the same concept is valid in every plugin:

Agree, also it's a huge shame that it doesn't support its own turbulence/noise maps and you can render the map to texture but its alot of work and very destructive.
Lets say if you dont like the displacement result u need to render another map then paint it on the geometry using Mari or something and import again..
