Pre-buy questions

I am currently a Vray for C4D user and am getting ready to make the move to Octane. I have been looking at tutorials all weekend and have a few questions:

Octane's material assignment doesn't appear to have any visual feedback other than what renders in the LiveViewer - such as Cinema's texture tool where you have a transform gizmo to scale, rotate, etc. in the viewport. Is this correct? And if so, is it possible to assign a C4D material and have Octane "adopt" the mapping? I rarely use UV Mapping and C4D's "fit to object" is a real time saver.

I just spent a fortune on a 40-core machine for use with Vray. The single graphics card I have is CUDA compliant (NVidia M4000). Is this adequate to render rather complicated interiors or is it advised that I add another GPU? If my chassis doesn't have the room, is it possible to use another card via a network? Is this capability included with the single license? Is there a limit to the quantity of GPU's that I can use with this license?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
