There should be an option to upgrade the free student version to v2 for a discounted price. There is such a huge difference between v1.4 and v2 ; students would really benefit from these key features implimented . Also it would give this render engine more exposure into the market and be a viable option for any student with rendering needs.. To buy a license bundle with a plug-in at standard price would not be possible for most students as it is highly expensive. This completely isolates octane from a fresh market with new prospects that they could potentially have long term. Please consider a discount for us students looking to advance our work!
