Looks like there's a whole virtual reality eco-system according to http://VRFavs.com.
Everyone is awaiting for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for a major leap. Is it going to happen in 2016?

The major leap isn't going to happen in 2016, it's too early, devices are too expensive and difficult to setup (for average consumers), but it needs to start, because we have nothing in our hands today, beside prototypes and phone's adapters.
Thanks for that link btw, it's very nice!

Agree with Rikk, it's going to start slow but gradually permeate every bit of media consumption!
Who knows how long it will take for mass adoption, but the ride there is sure to be amazing.
Great link, thanks for sharing.

I find predictions to sell 5-7M of HMDs realistic. Also there were already sold like 5M to 7M of paper and plastic cardboards, 300,000 DK2 and DK1 Oculuses.
