What format for ORBX player? Tweet

Hi All,
I'm really new at this so please excuse any obvious questions or stupid assumptions in this post.
Using Vray 3.2 've rendered an animation as a stereo 6-1 cubemap as a sequence of png's. Can i feed those directly to the ORBX player or i need to convert them to video? If yes what codec and resolution should i use?
Looked for an answer on Vray forums but no dice, hopefully you guys can offer some enlightenment.
