Silly 3ds max plugin question

Hello everyone, I have a silly question about the octane 3ds max plugin workflow. It's about 72 hours that the render of my scene for the metaverse contest has started. I still want to wait a couple of days and get a better final quality but I also would like to save a copy of the render at the current quality, just in case my pc will overheat and turns off. I'm new to Octane and my question is: if I pause the render and port the image to max frame buffer in order to save it (I'm using the Octane viewport), will it be possible, then, to resume the render from where it has been interrupted?

You can pause, port, save and continue later on.
But I think you're doing something wrong: 72 Hours is insanely long even on a low end gpu.

Really? The image to upload for the metaverse contest must be 18432 x 1536 pixels, so maybe this is the reason for long rendering times.. My gpu is a GTX760M with 2 Gb of Ram, it's not that bad, what could I possibly have done wrong? I have just created a scene in 3ds max, applied the materials and lights..

If it's a dark scene it can take very long time clean up, so it's not that unusual.

Hi MattiaZoratti, mobil cards are often less than 50% performance of the regular desktop card.
In OctaneBench my GTX 760 reach 44 your GTX 760m reach 19 points and my card is really slow.
For testing it is OK but for serious work you need a desktop or external laptop card.

Cheers, mib
