My submission after three months of off-and-on work. I wanted to try and create an intimate space for the viewer. Something that felt cozy, but had a great view. I'm also an avid space/NASA fan. The ISS Cupola is a real place, its on the International Space Station. This is my rough approximation of that space. It serves as a kind of control tower for astronauts to manage the Canadarm, and bring in arriving space craft.
I'm not a modeler. Or a texture artist. Or even a lighter. I'm a graphic designer. But for this project I had to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to be all of those. I'm glad I had a compelling reason to expand my abilities and I have learned so much from working on this project.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed working on it.
