Very cool VR. Tried it on GoogleCardboard - atmosphere is great. Also love your approach to work.
Good luck!

How did you view this on cardboard? I can't find any decent apps that support stereoscopic, let alone Octane's linear cube map format.

Great! Amazing work and some serious dedication. :)

I have been eyeballing agisoft photoscan some times now, it is on my research list, right after the animation tests what I start next. Great to see that it works so well.

Keep in mind that the quality of the scan strictly depends on the quality of your photos. There are a bunch of rules you need to keep in mind when you shoot for it, it's not the same as taking regular pictures.

I am sure there is a lot of tweaks and parameters to dig into. Glad that you are willing to help out people here. :)
I'll get to figure those out probably in october.. Simple and complex animations, navigation hotspots, transitions, ambience, sound effects etc testing next.
The final animation what I am planning, would use scanned assets / environments.. Around january, at best. Lot of research to do.

Now finaly got this to see on GearVR.. it's mind bending.. I mean, probably I would have hard time trying to explain for someOne that it's not a real thing..

I'm no expert in this technology by any means, just someOne who tries to learn & understand, but it's safe to say - One of the best pieces I've seen so far.

Photogrammetry for the win! I used the technique pretty much exclusively in my entry The Infinite Museum:

viewtopic.php?f=97&t=49397#p244460

All scans lovingly prepared with my own fair hands. There are approximately 15 million polygons in my scene and so there's a lot of detail. Things look pretty real.

Good luck with your entry! I'd be surprised if it didn't get through - well done!
